Community

We take our responsibility to our communities seriously.  Our people are actively involved in servicing those communities every day; they are an integral part of our business.

Europa supports charitable causes through active fundraising, sponsorship or donations.  At a local account or site level the focus of their support is towards issues that are important to their local community and, more often than not, our people.

Thank you

To all our Europa people who have given their time and commitment to raise money for some worthwhile causes.  Here are just a few.

The Europa staff at Morley, Leeds, for raising £207 for Comic Relief by having a fancy dress day, cake sale and car washing service.

Jo Paylor, customer service assistant at the Metrocentre Shopping Centre in Gateshead, who raised £357.50 to help build Maggie’s North East Cancer Caring Centre, by walking 86 miles from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway. (www.maggiescentres.org)

The Europa Staff at Hamilton, who raised £132.50 by wearing pink and selling cakes and sandwiches.

Peter Jones, a cleaning assistant and his colleagues at The Potteries Shopping Centre, for raising £1,200 by having their heads shaved in front of hundreds of shoppers. They split the proceeds equally between East Cheshire Hospice, Douglas MacMillan Hospice and the Dove Service. (www.eastcheshirehospice.org.uk, www.dmhospice.org.uk and www.thedoveservice.org.uk)
