Europa attends Sheffield Business School's 5th annual Centre of Facilities Management Development (CFMD) conference.

Our director of strategy, Europa’s Iain Murray , chaired the event where guest speakers Martin Pickard from the FM Guru Consultancy, Julia Middleton from Common Purpose, Phil Russell from EMCOR UK, Colin Harrison from MML and Richard Hirst from York St John University spoke about topical issues effecting organisational relationships in today’s society.
Topics covered throughout the conference were:
- FM in uncertain times – making it work together. (Martin Pickard)
- Making it work – how to establish good relationships. (Julia Middleton )
- BS 11000- can a framework guarantee better relationships. (Phil Russell)
- ‘Til death us do part’ – the story of a long-term relationship (Waitrose and Emprise/MML). (Colin Harrison)
- Onwards and upwards – Higher York, an example of multi-agency working. (Richard Hirst)
Sheffield Business School created the Centre for Facilities Management Development to aid the development of FM knowledge, people and practices. CFMD allows companies to receive an unbiased and realistic view on any challenges they may experience in relation to FM and therefore help them find a better solution.
