Doing it the ‘IKEA Way’

Home furnishings company IKEA UK & Ireland has awarded Europa, a leading property and support services company, a multi-million pound contract extension for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) maintenance provision.
The contract starts on January 1 2012 and sees the continuation of a three-year existing relationship between IKEA UK & Ireland and Europa. It will cover 18 IKEA stores throughout the United Kingdom and one in Dublin, Ireland. Europa has also won an additional framework agreement with IKEA to supply all air filtration filters across the whole portfolio in these two countries.
Commenting on the contract award, Gavin Lowe, Facilities Manager for IKEA & Ireland Properties Investment said, “We’ve really seen the benefits of working closely with Europa over the past few years. They understand the IKEA way of working and have taken on board our ethos to deliver innovative solutions and pass on cost-savings. We’re looking forward to continuing a great partnership going forward.”
