Europa announce major acquisition of Nationwide Building Services Group

Leading UK facilities management company Europa today announced a significant move in its strategic programme of growth with the acquisition of Nationwide Building Services Group Ltd, parent company of Nationwide Maintenance, Falcon Mechanical and Nationwide LCS.
The integration of the Nationwide business and employees will further strengthen Europa’s core service offering with the additional capacity and expertise to self-deliver mobile and static building maintenance services. The new division will trade as Europa Nationwide Technical Services and will continue to build on its reputation to provide high quality services to its existing customers.
The current management shall remain in place heading up the Europa Nationwide Technical Services business. John Quigley will take up the role of Managing Director, John Ralph Operations Director and Chris Sykes, Finance Director.
Post acquisition Europa will have a turnover of over £140m, employing in the region of 2,500 people, making it one of the largest independent organisations within its industry sector. The company has an exceptional portfolio of clients with leading Blue Chip names.
This deal follows the recent acquisition of the facilities management company known as Operon in January this year. Prior to that Europa acquired workspace solutions business Eastlake Work Group in May 2009 and United Utilities Facilities Management in early 2008. This deal follows a successful year for both Europa and Nationwide with both companies having grown successfully within their own right.
